Zoom Bomb Glitches as Performance (2021)
A series of eight short videos conceived for the conference London, Asia, Art, Worlds at the Paul Mellon Centre (May–June 2021), this work infiltrates the structure of the online symposium through staged “zoom-bomb” interruptions.
Moving across formats—disclaimer, contract, glitch, map, application, and announcement—the work performs an ongoing un-doing within the live conference, destabilising its authority and flow. Speaking from the position of an “UnHistoriographer,” it proposes postcolonialism not as a resolved discourse, but as a mutually violent and entangled system between coloniser and colonised.
Through fragmentation, repetition, and self-erasure, the work generates a counter-narrative—one that multiplies, interrupts, and refuses closure.
